1/72 Tachikawa Ki-106

by  RS Models
Product Description
This item is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.   Click here for sizing chart.

A new kit of the Ki-106, one of Japan's last-ditch efforts to field more fighter aircraft as they ran out of raw materials late in the war.  If the design looks familiar, it would be bacuse the Ki-106 was an attempt to build a mostly-wood Ki-84 Hayate.  First flown in July of 1945, the resulting aircraft was much heavier than the original Ki-84.  This kit includes decals for two "what if" aircraft (as the Ki-106 never saw operational use): "182 Shinbu Tai" and "520 Regiment".
