The PZL P.7 was developed at the National Aircraft Mfg. Co., Ltd. (PZL) in Warsaw in the early 1930s, and was adopted as the main fighter of the Polish Air Force in 1933. The mass-produced P.7a was a state-of-the-art aircraft at the time, but due to the rapid development of aviation technology, it became obsolete by the outbreak of World War II. The P.7a was moved to flight schools by while the Polish Air Force was updating to the PZL.P11. However, at the time of the German invasion of Poland, many combat units still had P.7as in their possession, and they boldly challenged the German aircraft, shooting down a total of seven aircraft such as the He111, Do17, Bf110 and Hs126.
