Here's the "Jimmy," or "Deuce and a half" from World War II, the single-most produced U.S. cargo vehicle of the war with over 800,000 rolling off production lines.
This first new Tamiya truck kit in nearly two decades offers loads of features. The kit is fully-detailed in every aspect, with parts for the entire engine assembly, suspension, propeller shaft and exhaust system. Numerous building options are incorporated: you can build it with the engine cover open or closed, with or without a winch, with some wheels removed (separate brake drum parts included), with the cargo area passenger benches up or down, and with the canvas tarp supports in their normal position or stowed (box art). Also includes jerry cans, backpacks, M-1 rifles and a relaxed driver figure. Poly-cap wheel attachment allows them to turn after assembly. Includes decals to mark it as any one of four different units' trucks.
Quality-wise there is little to say. The crispness and level of detail is exactly what you'd expect to see in a new Tamiya kit.
