Pit-Road brings us their SkyWave 1/700 Royal Navy Battleship HMS Queen Elizabeth 1941 kit. The battleship Queen Elizabeth was commissioned in January 1915, during World War I, to combine the resilience of a battleship with the speed of a cruiser. The biggest feature of this class of ships is the 15-inch gun, which was developed to gain advantage over the 14-inch gun of the Japanese and U.S. battleships of the time. After two major refurbishments, including the bridge, the ship essentially become a completely different ship aside from its hull and main gun.

This model kit can be built as a waterline or full-hull version; a Supermarine Walrus Mk.1 amphibious reconnaissance aircraft is included as well. Photo-etched parts are included for the radar, flag and flagpole, and the ship's nameplate. Will be approximately 28cm long when completed.
