The British had been monitoring and attacking the German battleship Tirpitz for some time, but had been unsuccessful at every attempt.
However, on November 12, 1944, the Royal Air Force's Lancaster bomber squadron, equipped with a large bomb, the Tall Boy, succeeded in capturing the Tirpitz.
After receiving several direct hits, the Tirpitz finally capsized and landed on the ground, ending its life.

This is a scene of the Royal Air Force's Lancaster Bomb Squadron attacking the battleship Tirpitz.
