Product Description
This item is a completed plastic or resin display car model.   Click here for sizing chart.

Current riot police vehicles in Japan frequently use a blue-and-white color scheme, but until the early Heisei period, they were only seen in gray. This version from 1987 features a domed ceiling, and was used to transport riot police to the site. The use of this type of vehicle began in the 1960s at the height of the student movement, and the semi-circular ceiling was useful to prevent thrown items from landing on the roof of the vehicle; this type of roof structure was in use until the 1980s. The front and side windows are covered with iron plating for security.
