1/700 IJN Aircraft Carrier Hiyo 1942

by  Fujimi
Product Description
This item is an injection-plastic ship model kit.   Click here for sizing chart.

Originally an ocean liner, the Hiyo was purchased by the IJN and converted into an aircraft carrier for use in WWII. The Hiyo's aircraft largely participated in battles in the South Pacific. This kit reproduces its appearance just before entering those battles, and before a machine gun was added to its front structure. Fujimi have also taken great care to reproduce this kit as accurately as possible, noting that recent research indicates that the ship was labelled with the Japanese katatana "ヒ" rather than "ひ", as was previously thought. As a result, a "ヒ" decal has been included.

  • [Mold Color]: Grey. Included aircraft parts come molded in clear.
  • [Includes]: Decals.
