Product Description
This item is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.   Click here for sizing chart.

This kit is being offered at a special price! During World War II, the German Army developed and deployed a number of self-propelled artillery. Among them, the 10.5cm self-propelled howitzer Heuschrecke had a unique feature. The on-board main gun had a structure that could be used as a battery by removing the entire turret and installing it on the ground. The body is based on the III/IV chassis, which was developed exclusively for self-propelled artillery, and the engine, formerly located in the center, has been moved to the rear. The hull was extended and a turret mounted in the center; retractable cranes were installed on the left and right sides, allowing the turret to be lifted and lowered behind the body. The lowered turret was mounted on a pedestal equipped with wheels, allowing it to be towed and moved when necessary. The main gun was a 28-caliber 10.5cm howitzer Ie.F.H. 18/1. A prototype was manufactured and tested in 1943, but it was never produced.

Dragon's model kit of the Heuschrecke 10 realistically reproduces its unique mechanism, with the turret, main gun and body precisely molded. The gun mount and body of the 10.5cm howitzer are reproduced in detail. Some of the rear armor plates, as well as the armor plate the turret is mounted on, can be assembled opened or closed. In addition, the turret can be mounted on the vehicle body, or it can be assembled lowered and equipped to a prefabricated carrier. The lower part of the hull is integrally molded; the interior is also reproduced, with cannonball rack and battery. The foldable crane on the side of the hull can be assembled either folded back or deployed. The tracks are Magic Tracks for ease of assembly, too. Order yours today!
