1/16 1957 Ford Thunderbird

Product Description
This item is an injection-plastic passenger car kit.   Click here for sizing chart.

The first Ford Thunderbird was unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in 1954, and went on sale in 1955. It had a two-seater body with a removable hard top; a round porthole window on the hard top was a distinctive feature. 1957 was the final year for the first version of this iconic car, and the year it got its tailfins. It was positioned as a rival to the Chevrolet Corvette, yet had more of the character of a luxury car.

AMT/ERTL's model kit fully expresses the Thunderbird's luxurious mood. The hard top is made of separate parts so it can be removed after completion, as can the front hood; the V8 engine is moldeled in full detailed under the hood. Plating enhances the front bumper, grille and wheels, and the bathtub interior, seats, dashboard and steering are all carefully detailed as well. Any fan of American cars needs this deluxe beauty in their collection -- order yours today!
