The M3 Bradley is a cavalry fighting vehicle (CFV) variant of the M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle. It has been in service since 1983, and has undergone various updates since its deployment. Its main armament is a 25mm chain gun, and it's powered by a 600hp Cummins diesel engine. The M3A2 uses an explosive reaction armor known as ERA. After the 1991 Gulf War, GPS and laser rangefinders were added. It has been active in the Middle East and other conflict zones around the world.
This model kit from Dragon reproduces the American cavalry combat vehicle M3 Bradley equipped with explosive response armor and ERA, which was standard equipment in Iraq. The ERA consists of 105 box-shaped units mounted on the front, sides and turret of the vehicle. Clear parts and photo-etched parts are included for the shield around the commander's hatch of the turret. Personal equipment such as backpacks etc., are newly molded parts to add extra realism, and a TOW missile launcher is set in the turret; the launcher can be assembled in either the firing position or the moving position.
